John Cena Names 2 WWE & TNA Stars As Wrestling’s Future
According to John Cena, wrestling is in safe hands thanks to two current WWE and TNA stars.
John Cena’s WWE career is set to end in a matter of days at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13th. It remains to be seen who Cena’s final opponent will be, as a Last Time Is Now tournament is taking place, with the winner getting that honour.
Before that, John Cena will defend his Intercontinental Championship at Survivor Series against Dominik Mysterio. This will be Cena’s first Survivor Series bout since 2017, when he was part of a losing SmackDown team in a five-on-five tag team match against Team Raw.
Cena has already revealed that the rest of Saturday Night’s Main Event, which will host his last match, will be a showcase for WWE stars of the future to perform and get more eyeballs on them than ever before.
John Cena Touts 2 Stars As Wrestling’s Future
On the November 25th edition of NXT, John Cena appeared in a pre-taped video to announce the competitors in the Iron Survivor Challenge matches. Cena also shared his thoughts on who he sees as the future of the wrestling business:
When you talk about the future of this business, no two names come to mind faster than Je’Von Evans and Leon Slater from TNA. A pair of 21-year-olds who are way ahead of their time, fun to watch, and look to big things at the road ahead.
