John Cena May Lose Title On WWE RAW In Wild Scenario

John Cena leaves the ring at WWE Crown Jewel

John Cena will wrestle on the upcoming episode of WWE RAW.

The Never Seen 17 beat Dominik Mysterio to win the Intercontinental Championship last week on Monday Night RAW in Boston. He’s set to appear and have a match on the November 17 edition of WWE’s flagship show, which will take place at Madison Square Garden. According to Jonathan Coach, WWE on RAW last week may have hinted at who Cena’s next opponent will be.

John Cena Might Face Rey Mysterio Next Week On WWE RAW

On the latest episode of Behind The Turnbuckles podcast, Coach pointed out that Rey Mysterio was brought up twice during Cena’s segment last week. The first time was during his promo battle with Dom, and then backstage during Cena’s victory celebration. This might be WWE’s way of teasing that Cena will face The Master of 619 next.

So, to get the IC Title off of him, what did they throw into the promo when John Cena was in the ring with Dirty Dom? He said, “Out of respect for who? Your father, I’m going to allow you to walk away, blah, blah, blah. So you can go,” So, there was the first little easter egg. Then he beats him. They come back from the commercial break. He’s getting flowers from everybody. Who was the last person who was at the gorilla position, giving him his props? Rey Mysterio.
Coach added that Dominik Mysterio might interfere in the potential Cena vs Mysterio match next week and cause Cena to lose the Intercontinental Championship.
So Netflix came out yesterday, and they said, not WWE, Netflix said that John Cena will be wrestling this Monday at Madison Square Garden. So we know he’s going to have a match. Last week, we didn’t know that. So if we know he’s going to have a match, to me, you make it for the Intercontinental title. You somehow, and this is where your genius comes in, make it Cena against Rey Mysterio. You have Rey Mysterio go over, which the crowd would be fine with. Or you have Dom interfere to help his dad win. (From 23:15)
