John Cena May Have “Checked Out” On His WWE Retirement Tour
John Cena’s farewell Tour is ending on December 13th, 2025, at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
The final opponent hasn’t been decided yet, but WWE is moving towards finalizing it with the ‘Last Time Is Now’ tournament.
However, there is one match from The Champ’s tour that has raised questions about WWE’s booking.
John Cena may be done with his retirement tour
It so happens that The Last Real Champion faced Brock Lesnar at Wrestlepalooza. In that match, he has not addressed that squashing defeat even once. Fans had expected him to win the match, but he walked away defeated.
WWE has not worked on a rematch either.
Vince Russo and Jonathan Coachman discussed a situation on The Coach and Bro Show where John Cena attacked Brock Lesnar on the RAW where Roman Reigns Superman punched him. Coachman claimed that has Cena given this suggestion, WWE would have said yes but he seems to have “checked out” on his Farewell Tour.
I would never accuse him of doing this, that Cena is almost checked out on this tour because he is such a smart guy uh that if he walked in to suggest that, you’d got to believe that they would say yes.
John Cena’s farewell tour has had its fair share of ups and downs. However, fans have turned up for every show and match to watch him in action one last time.
