John Cena Doubted Major WWE Money In The Bank Spot Could Be Done
John Cena didn’t think Logan Paul could get the Lionsault done.
John Cena is on his retirement tour and is set to hang up his boots by the end of the year. Last weekend, he and Logan Paul took on Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso at Money In The Bank. On his podcast, Paul revealed that Cena didn’t believe that Paul could land his Lionsault outside the ring.
John Cena and Logan Paul came up short at Money In The Bank but gave the WWE fans a memorable match. In addition to R-Truth’s return, Logan Paul’s Lionsault on Jey Uso outside the ring has gotten the WWE Universe buzzing. On the IMPAULSIVE podcast, the former United States Champion spoke about how he was nailing the landing of the move when he practiced it. He discussed the move with the seventeen-time champion before the show, and Cena told him that he couldn’t make that jump.

“It’s before the match and I’m telling John Cena, I was like ‘Hey, I’d like to fit this spot in there, right?’ He looks at me and goes ‘You can’t make that jump.’ I go ‘I swear to God, I can.’ John’s the best, but in full sincerity, he goes ‘You can’t make that jump.’ I found out no one believed I could make that jump.” [H/T WrestleTalk]
