John Cena Could Lose Final Match To 2-Time WWE Champion
John Cena’s final match is fast-approaching, and WWE has yet to finalize his final opponent.
It has been confirmed that The Leader of Cenation’s final match will be on December 13th, 2025, at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
While the date seems to have been fixed, the global juggernaut and the 17-time world champion does not yet know what the final feud should be.
2-time WWE Champion has his eyes on John Cena
There is not one person on the WWE roster who does not want to be in The Champ’s final match. One superstar who has voiced this wish is Drew McIntyre.
On Notsam Wrestling, Sam Roberts explained that WWE could come up with a match for Cena and McIntyre, and set up The Scottish Warrior as a future WWE Champion.
There’s one more thing you can do before the end of the year, either in John Cena’s last match or maybe John Cena’s second-to-last match, however you want to do it. Drew McIntyre beats John Cena. So, he’s not the champion anymore, but he beats John Cena with a Claymore. Just beats him. So, now you’re entering into 2026 with Cody as the champion, which means you’re going to have Cody in a Wrestlemania main event defending that title. But now you’ve got Drew McIntyre having beaten John Cena. You’ve gotten a taste of what Drew McIntyre looks like as champion. And Drew McIntyre has beaten John Cena in one of John Cena’s last matches, if not Drew McIntyre’s, if not John Cena’s actual last match.
Previously, Drew McIntyre had commented on Cena’s heel turn and called it a ‘waste of time’. Furthermore, he claimed that he was ready to put The Champ into retirement by being his final opponent.
