John Cena And Logan Paul Dominate On WWE SmackDown

John Cena With Logan Paul

John Cena and Logan Paul got the upper hand over Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso on the final WWE SmackDown before Money in the Bank.

At WWE Money in the Bank on June 7th, the WWE Champion John Cena will team up with Logan Paul against the World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes in the main event of the show.

When those four men were in the ring together on the May 30th edition of SmackDown, Cody and Jey got the upper hand and stood tall to end the night. However, it was a different story on SmackDown in Bakersfield, just one night before Money in the Bank.

Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso addressed the fans in the ring in the main event segment. Cody talked about how big of a match it is while saying it’s a showdown, so Jey said it was “Yeetdown.”

After the WWE Champion John Cena got in the ring to confront his opponents, Logan Paul did a sneak attack on Jey Uso that saw Logan nail Jey with a cheap shot punch to the face. After Cody avoided Logan’s attack, Cena hit Cody in the head with the WWE Title just like Cena did to beat Cody at WrestleMania.

The attack by the heels continued as Cena hit the Attitude Adjustment on Jey. Paul hit a Paulverizer on Cody. Paul hit a Frog Splash off the top on Cody and a Frog Splash for Jey too. Paul slipped on his way to the top before his splash on Cody, but he recovered.

At that point, Cena addressed the fans by saying your dream of what WWE is will be ruined. Cena said this is your future – he takes the WWE Title home, and Paul takes the World Title to the top. Cena said he was the Last Real Champion, and Paul was the inevitable future face of the WWE.

Cena told the fans to humble themselves and look at the future World Heavyweight Champion, Logan Paul. The fans booed loudly. Cena brought Cody into the ring, and Cena hit Cody with the Attitude Adjustment. Paul sent Jey into the ring and nailed Jey with a punch to the mouth.

John Cena Silences Crowd Chanting For R-Truth

Fans were chanting “We Want Truth” for former superstar R-Truth, who informed the world that the company wouldn’t renew his contract. That news upset many fans, so they chanted for Truth, just as they had done on Raw.

To John Cena’s credit, he had a great response, telling the fans that “you can’t handle the truth,” as if he were Jack Nicholson in the famous film “A Few Good Men.”

Cena informed the fans that their truth is staring you right in the face. Cena said there’s not anything you or anybody who fights for you can do about it. Cena said that you are hypocrites who chant for Truth, and are really pathetic liars.

As he concluded, Cena said that winners write the history books. Cena said this is your future champion (Paul), and the Last Real Champion, referring to himself. Cena and Paul held up the WWE and World Titles in the air to end the show.
