John Cena Confirms If His Last Match Will Main Event WWE SNME

John Cena WWE cant see me

John Cena has put the rumors to rest regarding the match placement of his final match at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.

There have been multiple reports throughout the week about when John Cena’s final match against Gunther will take place at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13th.

Reports say Cena’s match might open the show, while others say it will go last, and nothing has been officially announced by WWE yet.

The good news is that John Cena appeared on the Pat McAfee Show to confirm that his match is absolutely going to main event Saturday Night’s Main Event in Washington, D.C.

“That is pizzagate, homie. I was on Jimmy Kimmel, I said I’m ending the show. I said, ‘I normally go to bed early but I’m going to have to stay up late for this one.’ I guess people didn’t read between the tea leaves. We’re last.

I don’t know how the rumor started. I think some folks with credibility like to kick a hornet’s nest and get people chattering. I understand, we’re in the age of information and what’s going to keep my attention. ‘You’re not last?’ Sure, that’ll keep my attention. I don’t know how that started. It’s difficult to conceptualize that.

I don’t make the menu. If I show up tomorrow and they want me to go on first, that’s what I’ll do, but we are last at this moment.” (H/T Fightful)

John Cena Learned From The Rock

One of John Cena’s greatest rivals was The Rock. They headlined WrestleMania 28 and WrestleMania 29 together with The Rock winning the first match, while Cena won the second match to “win” the feud and become WWE Champion again.

Looking back on his journey as a WWE superstar, John Cena spoke about the lessons he learned from The Rock.

“I learned excellence. Absolute excellence. I learned what a good golf shot feels like when you go out and make 60 of them and hand in your scorecard. That’s what I learned.

I learned the noise every time. Even in your heart of hearts, maybe he thought he could have given more, the noise is still there. There is not a moment we shared without the noise. That is very rare when you’re paired with somebody that you always have that. There is usually some dead air. Not with him.”

The four-match card at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13th looks like this:

  • John Cena vs. Gunther in Cena’s final WWE match
  • Sol Ruca vs. Bayley
  • WWE World Tag Team Champions AJ Styles & Dragon Lee vs. Je’Von Evans & Leon Slater in a non-title match
  • WWE Champion Cody Rhodes vs. NXT Champion Oba Femi in a non-title match
