John Cena Joining The Simpsons
John Cena might have done almost everything during his WWE career but now he’s about to reach a whole new level as he’ll be part of The Simpsons.
John Cena recently confirmed he’s retiring from WWE but not before the sixteen-time world champion takes on one more run in the company where he made his name. At Money In The Bank, Cena made a surprise appearance to make his announcement and noted that the next Royal Rumble and WrestleManias will be the last of his WWE career although no final match date has been revealed.
However, with Cena’s eyes firmly on the next part of his life, the Hollywood star has now booked his latest role as he gets set for a trip to Springfield. At the San Diego Comic-Con, it was revealed that John Cena will be a part of The Simpsons’ season 36 premiere. This season of the long-running show will also feature appearances from Danny DeVito, Tom Hanks, and Conan O’Brien.
John Cena Following In Bret Hart’s Footsteps
John Cena will only become the second WWE Superstar to appear in The Simpsons, following in the footsteps of two-time WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart. The Hitman appeared in season 8’s The Old Man and the Lisa where Hart bought Mr. Burns’ mansion when the evil old billionaire – something Hart might have found familiar – lost his fortune.
