John Cena Set For International WWE Premium Live Event

John Cena

John Cena has seemingly been confirmed for another event.

With his retirement tour now well and truly underway, John Cena is set to challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 41. The newly-heel Cena has been tipped by many to beat Rhodes meaning his immediate schedule following the event has been monitored closely.

Following his match with Rhodes at WrestleMania, Cena is advertised for Backlash in St. Louis, Missouri on May 10. Interestingly, in the press release for the PLE, Cena and long-time rival Randy Orton were the only names advertised sparking speculation the pair could wrestle one last time.

Cena is now being advertised for WWE Clash at the Paris at the Paris La Défense Arena on August 31. In the first official poster for the event, Cena is featured prominently alongside the likes of Cody Rhodes, Gunther, Tiffany Stratton, Penta, CM Punk, and more.

Cody Rhodes Tipped To Beat John Cena

During a recent interview, Ric Flair suggested that Cody Rhodes should beat John Cena at WrestleMania because he’s still got plenty of momentum as champion. Should Cena beat Rhodes he’ll surpass Flair on the all-time list and become a 17-time World Champion, an honor the Nature Boy has often said he wants to go to his daughter Charlotte.

Flair later said he’ll be unable to attend WrestleMania because he remains under contract with AEW.
