John Cena Makes Heartbreaking Confession About WWE Heel Run

John Cena WWE Shocked

John Cena’s fans wanted to see him turn heel in WWE at least once before he retires. Well, he heard them!

At Elimination Chamber, The Champ turned heel on Cody Rhodes by aligning himself with The Rock. The story was supposed to move forward with The Brahma Bull from that point, but it didn’t really happen.

The Final Boss did not show up anymore, and eventually, The Last Real Champion turned babyface once again.

John Cena has opened up about his failed WWE heel run

Backstage reports have noted that WWE is aware of the heel run failing and the retirement tour not living up to set expectations. The reason is credited to multiple changes in the creative plans throughout the tour.

During the recent FAN EXPO in Chicago, the record-breaking 17-time world champion opened up about the heel turn. He admitted that he knows he bombed with the turn, but life moves on, and he isn’t upset over it.

Oh, no, no. I wasn’t upset. I just know I failed. Ain’t nothing wrong with that. You can learn from failure, right? Yeah. I went out there and bombed. Sh*t happens, guys. Come on now.

Currently, John Cena is booked against AJ Styles for Crown Jewel 2025. The Phenomenal One has left a bold message ahead of their high-profile clash at the event.
