John Cena Drops Interesting WWE Tease
John Cena has teased a change in presentation as he continues to gain momentum on the Road to WrestleMania.
Cena sent shockwaves through the wrestling world at Elimination Chamber by turning heel and aligning with The Rock after securing a WWE Championship bout against Cody Rhodes following a hard fought victory inside the ominous structure on the night.
The 16-time WWE Champion’s shock betrayal of Cody Rhodes has since been compared to previous industry changing moments such as the infamous Hulk Hogan heel turn at Bash Of The Beach 1996 and the ‘Montreal Screwjob’ of Bret ‘Hitman’ Hart at Survivor Series 1997.
Speaking for the first time since his turn on the 17th March edition of Raw, Cena blamed the fans for his actions, branding them as ‘awful people’ for abusing him since his 2002 debut.
During the sensational promo, Cena also revealed that he refused to change his look or entrance theme because the fans didn’t deserve to see anything new.
Fans are speculating, however, that a recent Instagram post from legendary Superstar has hinted at a change to his presentation, with Cena taking to Instagram to post the cd cover from his 2005 hit album ‘You Can’t See Me’.
The album, which peaked at number 15 on the Billboard 200 charts, features Cena’s iconic current theme ‘The Time Is Now’.
John Cena Could Retire As A Heel According To WWE Legend
Many were surprised at the timing of John Cena’s recent heel turn given his limited number of months remaining before hanging up the boots for the final time.
Whilst most observers believe that Cena will once again return to fan favourite status before he closes the door on a legendary career, WWE Hall Of Famer Kevin Nash feels that the 16-time WWE Champion would make a greater impact if he saw out his career as a villain.
