John Cena Discloses Precious Lesson He Learned From Eddie Guerrero
John Cena speaks up about getting some life-changing advice from late WWE legend Eddie Guerrero.
John Cena was the guest in the latest episode of Cody Rhodes’ “What Do You Wanna Talk About” podcast, where he touched upon numerous topics like his time in WWE, his favourite WWE moment, the relationships he’s made, his own thoughts on his now completed retirement tour, and even what he learned from many of the top superstars he worked with.
Notable among those he learnt from was late WWE Hall of Famer Eddie Guerrero. Latino Heat was beloved, both on and off-screen and was someone many wrestlers would go to for advice and mentorship. Examples include Rey Mysterio, Edge, Chris Benoit and, of course, John Cena.
John Cena Credits Eddie Guerrero with Giving Him Major Professional Advice
Speaking to The American Nightmare on his podcast, Cena shared this valuable piece of advice he received from Guerrero, which shaped his mentality towards performance. He stated that Eddie had suggested that in a situation where fewer people are in the audience, give your ultimate best so that there would be double the number of people the next time.
Eddie Guerrero taught me this. Those nights that a thousand folks show up? You do everything in your living power to give them the absolute best show you can, so the next time, fifteen hundred people will show up. You go out and do double the effort, so the next time so the next time 3000 people.
He added that Eddie believed in the law of compounding interest and that it’s important to please one fan at a time.

Eddie Guerrero’s storied WWE career came to a devastating halt when he tragically passed away on November 13th 2005 aged 38 breaking the hearts of millions of wrestling fans around the world who were only left with the notion of what could have been.
