Female WWE Star Confesses To Making John Cena Cry
A longtime friend of John Cena got the WWE GOAT feeling emotional.
The end of John Cena’s WWE in-ring career is coming. The 17-time WWE World Champion has just two matches. One of those matches will be at Survivor Series in San Diego when Cena defends the Intercontinental Title against Dominik Mysterio on November 29th in Dirty Dom’s hometown.
After that, Cena will wrestle again two weeks later at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13th in Washington, D.C. for his final match. His opponent that night will be whoever wins the Last Time Is Now Tournament.
The Last Time Is Now Tournament is in the semifinal stage, with LA Knight facing Jey Uso and Gunther taking on Solo Sikoa. Those two matches will take place on the December 1st edition of WWE Monday Night Raw. The finals of the tournament will be on the December 5th episode of SmackDown.
A lot of WWE fans and superstars have been emotional about the end of John Cena’s in-ring career, and it turns out the WWE GOAT is an emotional guy, too.
John Cena Was In Tears Reading Natalya’s Book
Natalya and John Cena have been good friends for many years, since she’s been on the WWE roster longer than any female wrestler, going back nearly 20 years, and Cena is in his 23rd year since joining the main roster. Recently, Natalya spoke about Cena visiting “The Dungeon,” the training facility she has with her husband, WWE Producer TJ Wilson, where people come to train in a ring, and it’s by invitation only.
While speaking to WFAN about her new book, The Last Hart Beating: From the Dungeon to WWE, Natalya revealed that after she gifted Cena a copy of her book, Cena responded that it made him feel emotional because of how much she cares about the pro wrestling business, just like him.
“At the end of the night, I gave him my book, I was like ‘just wanted you to have this’, and I wrote a little message for him inside of it, just about gratitude and what he means to me and the industry.
The next day, he goes ‘I was flipping through the book, I started reading it, because I couldn’t put it down.’ That night. This is one of the busiest guys in the world. That night, he sends me a text, and he goes ‘Nattie. I finished the book, wow, wow, wow, I was bawling my eyes out.’
If you can make John Cena cry… I think he hadn’t planned on reading it, that’s the thing about the book is that it’s meant to be, it’s a big page turner, there’s a lot of cliff-hangers, but it’s a story.”
