John Cena Could Suffer Shocking Defeat Against Ex-WWE Champion

John Cena WrestleMania

Could R-Truth pull off an upset over John Cena at Saturday Night’s Main Event?

Industry veteran Eric Bischoff recently weighed in on the much-awaited clash this Saturday.

At WWE Backlash, Cena faced Randy Orton for the Undisputed WWE Championship, which saw R-Truth interfere in the match in its dying minutes.

Truth then appeared at the post-match press conference to congratulate the champion, but was received with hostility and put through the table by Cena.

Both Cena and Truth have gone back and forth at each other since then, leading to the build-up.

On 83 Weeks with Eric Bischoff, the former Raw manager applauded WWE’s risk-taking under the Paul “Triple H” Levesque regime.

Eric Bischoff Picks His Winner For John Cena Vs. R-Truth

Bischoff responded when asked whether R-Truth could beat John Cena.

You know, WWE has become, thankfully, fairly unpredictable, like they’re willing to do things now that they wouldn’t have done several years ago when Vince (McMahon) was calling the shots. I know this seems absurd, I wouldn’t sleep on R-Truth.

There it is. Bischoff certainly does not underestimate Truth as a formidable opponent of John Cena. If R-Truth beats Cena, it will be the biggest upset in recent history.

Bischoff’s in-ring history with Cena has been brief, with most encounters culminating in 2005, including the ‘The Trial of Eric Bischoff’ segment in December of that year.
