John Cena Vs. CM Punk One Final Time Announced For WWE PLE

John Cena face-to-face with CM Punk on WWE RAW

John Cena will defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against CM Punk at Night of Champions.

The Franchise Player has successfully retained his title against Randy Orton after capturing it at WrestleMania 41 by beating Cody Rhodes.

The 48-year-old has also competed in two non-title matches as he beat R-Truth at Saturday Night’s Main Event and lost a tag team match, in which he tagged with Logan Paul, against The American Nightmare and the World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso.

Cena kicked off this week’s episode of RAW, reciting defeating The Viper, Rhodes, and Truth and demanding competition. He was interrupted by CM Punk.

The Best in the World emphasized that he was defending the fans who made him The Voice of the Voiceless 14 years ago.

While he challenged Cena to a title match on RAW in Phoenix, the Undisputed WWE Champion refused.

Instead, The Last True Champion told The Best in the World that he would have to face him at Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia on June 28.

What happened when John Cena last faced CM Punk in WWE?

John Cena and CM Punk squared off several times during The Second City Saint’s first stint in the Stamford-based company.

While their 2011 Money in the Bank WWE Championship match remains one of the most memorable, as Punk beat Cena and left the promotion with the title, their last battle ended differently for Chicago’s hero.

The Franchise Player and The Best in the World last went head-to-head in February 2013 on RAW. It ended in victory for the current Undisputed WWE Champion.

It will be interesting to see which of the two legends will leave Riyadh with the title.
