John Cena Finally Breaks Silence On Vince McMahon’s WWE Controversy
John Cena and Vince McMahon worked together for most of The Champ’s WWE career.
In fact, it was The Big Man who kept pushing him to the top by ensuring he did not lose matches, especially since he was a babyface and fans always wanted to see the ‘good guy’ win.
However, Cena’s Farewell Tour did not have Vince McMahon’s involvement. The former CEO resigned from TKO’s Board of Directors after former WWE employee Janel Grant filed a lawsuit against him, accusing him of alleged sexual misconduct.
John Cena opened up about Vince McMahon’s controversy
Ahead of his final match, The Champ has been doing interviews. One of them was with Joe Rogan on the Joe Rogan Experience. John Cena was asked if he felt Vince McMahon would return at some point.
Never Seen 17 claimed that time heals everything, but before that, a person needs to be accountable for their actions. So, Cena’s feelings about a particular person do not excuse them from their actions.
I know, now, he’s out. In my eyes, I’d like to think that time heals everything, and I believe in forgiveness. I also believe in looking at the body of work. I also know there is a lot of fragile stuff going on there.
I’ve learned to become a little more accountable for what I say, and just because I feel a certain way about a person doesn’t excuse them from being accountable for their actions. Just because he did start ‘all this gangster shit,’ doesn’t mean he doesn’t need to be accountable for his actions. Let’s figure out what that means, and then figure out if we can move forward and bring it back in the fold or if it stays the way it is.
It is unlikely that Vince McMahon will return to WWE for John Cena’s final match.
