John Cena has wrestled 17 times at WrestleMania. Out of those, he’s been a part of the show’s main event 5 times — in 2006, 2007, 2011, 2012, and 2013.

John Cena’s last WrestleMania was this year, where he faced Cody Rhodes to win the WWE Undisputed Championship. Unfortunately, there will be no more Mania matches for The Last Real Champion as he’s set to retire in December 2025.

John Cena Picks His Three Favorite WrestleMania Matches Of All Time

That said, John Cena recently attended a Q&A panel at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool, England, where he was asked to name his favorite WrestleMania match of all time. He named three.

His first pick was WrestleMania XXVIII, held at Sun Life Stadium in Miami, Florida, where The Rock defeated him. His second pick was WrestleMania 21 at Judgment Day in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he beat JBL to win the WWE Championship.

His third and final pick was his first Mania, i.e., WrestleMania 20, held in Madison Square Garden, New York City, where he defeated Big Show to win his first WWE United States Championship.

John Cena said, “Favorite WrestleMania match. So, usually a lot of people are like, “What’s your favorite match?” And the answer is always the same.

It’s my next one because I will have a chance to reflect eventually, but I always like to look forward. You asked a great question cuz I don’t have any more WrestleMania.

So, what’s my favorite WrestleMania match? I was very fond of me versus The Rock in Miami because I thought being able to do a year-long build, which is very rare, and deliver an outcome that I don’t know if a lot of people thought was going to happen, was pretty decent.

I got to give respect again to John Bradshawfield because he allowed me to win a championship at WrestleMania in Hollywood.

And I got to tip my cap to Big Show Paul White, who allowed me to pick him up at Madison Square Garden to win my first ever WWE Championship at WrestleMania in the US Chamber. Those are my top three.” (From 40:01)
