John Cena Applauds Saudi Arabia’s Investment In WWE

WWE legend John Cena

John Cena has represented WWE on every major platform and has been with WWE for the shows globally.

The Chamo has seen the company grow globally, and fans coming to the shows. However, it wasn’t always the case.

WWE’s first show in Saudi Arabia was in 2018. John Cena was a part of that. Now, WWE and Saudi Arabia have entered a strategic partnership of 10 years and are constantly building the product to attract more eyes.

John Cena is appreciative of Saudi Arabia’s interest in WWE

Never Seen 17 appeared on his first post-retirement show with Cody Rhodes on What Do You Wanna Talk About? With Cody Rhodes. The duo spoke about the retirement tour, The Rock and Travis Scott’s disappearance from WWE after Elimination Chamber, and other topics. One of them was WWE, and its growing partnership with Saudi Arabia.

The Champ chalked out the difference between what it was in 2018 and what it is now, and that not only did Saudi Arabia invest financially, but they invested with their hearts and believed in the program.

I remember going over there first time in 2018. The couches in the front row, no one is making a lot of noise. You go there now, it is an incredible crowd to perform for. So, they have done their work too. They invested in us. And far beyond a paper IOU. They’ve invested their heart in us. You go over there now, and it is rockous because over the course of less than a decade, they believed.

And that’s also really special because you don’t know the trickle-down economics of that. You don’t know the effect that has, 5, 10, 15 years, nobody can predict it. But what I know is that what I saw on day one and what I see now, and it’s beautiful.

John Cena’s final appearance in Saudi Arabia was at Night of Champions 2025, where he defeated CM Punk in the Undisputed WWE Championship match.
