John Cena Announces New Project After WWE Run
John Cena has partnered with Roku Originals for a new project.
On November 16th it was announced by Variety that Cena will host the brand new talk show “What Drives You.” On the show, the WWE legend and celebrity guests will hit the road for a series of in-depth interviews as the subjects “reminisce on the memories associated with their special ride while engaging in both hilarious and deeply personal conversations.”
Cena described the show as a way to learn from some of the world’s most inspiring figures.
“The car you drive and where you drive it can say a lot about who you are, from your personality type to what you value and prioritize the most.
‘What Drives You’ is all about tapping into this and each guest’s unique connection to their car, and a destination close to their heart, as the crux of a candid and wide-ranging conversation. It’s a great opportunity for me to ride shotgun and learn from some of the world’s most entertaining and inspiring individuals.”
With the end of the SAG-AFTRA strike, Cena has again stepped away from WWE, and there is no word on if or when he will be back.
Has John Cena Retired?
The 16-time World Champion’s most recent match came at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia where he was demolished by Solo Sikoa. Since then John Cena has repeatedly hinted at retirement, while on the night, Michael Cole referred to Sikoa as the “man who retired John Cena” on commentary.
In a social media post on November 10th, Cena revealed he’d undergone some kind of medical procedure to get one of his arms “fixed.” The star didn’t give away any details about the procedure.
