John Cena Addresses “Altercation” With Seth Rollins And CM Punk
John Cena will face CM Punk at Night of Champions with the Undisputed WWE Championship on the line.
While The Best in the World is currently in a feud with The Franchise Player, a former rivalry continues to find its way back to him.
Ahead of Night of Champions, CM Punk and Seth Rollins had a heated altercation, and Michael Cole asked John Cena about the incident during the kick-off show.
John Cena downplayed the ‘altercation’
Ahead of entering the stage for SummerSlam 2025 kick-off show, John Cena arrived on the Fanatics Fest entrance way. Just as he raised the Undisputed WWE Championship belt over his head, Seth Rollins entered with the Money in the Bank briefcase.
The Visionary held the briefcase to The Franchise Player’s face, but Cena ignored him and walked away. However, it was CM Punk who appeared on the entrance way from the other side which led to a heated altercation between the Rollins and Punk.

During the kick-off show, Cole asked John Cena about the altercation. He downplayed it, revealing that there is truly nothing to say and fans can just watch the video to understand.
I think you are throwing around the word ‘altercation’ a bit loosely. I was enjoying myself at the Fanatics fest at the WWE entrance way that they have for us but i just wasn’t the only one enjoying myself. If you want to see what I am talking about, go watch the video.
As Mr. Money in the Bank, Seth Rollins is a huge threat to both world champions, but also to CM Punk at Night of Champions. Seth Rollins can decide to cash-in during Night of Champions and cost Punk the chance to become the Undisputed WWE Champion.
