Joe Hendry’s WWE Future Revealed
Joe Hendry is still TNA World Champion but how likely is it that his future lies in WWE?
Randy Orton was left without a WrestleMania 41 opponent after Kevin Owens was pulled from the event due to a serious neck injury. Orton issued an open challenge on night two of the event so he could have the 20th WrestleMania match of his career, and that challenge was answered by TNA World Champion Joe Hendry.
Orton made short work of Hendry, dropping the Scottish star with an RKO in just three minutes. Despite the quick loss, Joe Hendry has disagreed that he was squashed at WrestleMania.
Joe Hendry is set to defend his TNA World Title at NXT Battleground against Trick Williams. And it seems that Hendry is ready for a big change in the near future.
Joe Hendry A WWE Certainty
PWInsider has reported that it’s now considered a lock that Joe Hendry will sign with WWE when he is contractually able to do so. It was noted that the Scottish star received nothing but praise for stepping into the breach against Orton at WrestleMania. Hendry is held in high regard in WWE, especially for how he’s reacted to feedback as well as his own creativity, something that has long been a cornerstone of his rise to the top.
Hendry could follow in Jordynne Grace’s footsteps in swapping TNA for WWE, which may well raise eyebrows over how beneficial the current partnership between the two companies is for TNA.
