Joe Hendry Told WWE Door Remains Open By Shawn Michaels

Joe Hendry has made waves since debuting in WWE and now Shawn Michaels has left the door open for the TNA star to continue in NXT.

No Mercy saw Ethan Page defend his NXT Championship against TNA star Joe Hendry with former champion Trick Williams acting as the special guest referee.

Ultimately, it was Ethan Page who retained his championship in Denver as he nailed Joe Hendry with an Ego’s Edge with Trick Williams counting the pinfall. After the match, Pete Dunne dragged Williams to the floor and hit him with the Bitter End before staring down the NXT Champion.

Ethan Page will now defend his NXT Title on the October 1st launch show when NXT makes its debut on the CW Network after five years on USA.

Now WWE has posted on social media footage of a brief meeting between Joe Hendry and Shawn Michaels after Hendry’s loss and Michaels told the star

Can’t thank you enough man, lovely job out there. Anytime you want another chance just give me a call.

Hendry’s response indicated that he’s not done with WWE and NXT quite yet as he looked down the camera to say:

Tonight wasn’t my night but remember what I said to you the first night I came in Shawn, anywhere, any time, any show.

Hendry was recently part of a big eight-man tag team match at TNA Emergence as he teamed with Mike Santana and The Hardys in a defeat against The System.
