What Happened When Joe Hendry & Trick Williams Performed NXT Concerts

Joe Hendry

Joe Hendry and Trick Williams are on a collision course for championship gold but before that can happen, there was music to be made.

After his shock match with Randy Orton at WrestleMania 41, TNA World Champion Joe Hendry set his sights on NXT gold. However, when he made his intentions clear to become a double champion, Trick Williams wasn’t impressed. Both Hendry and NXT Champion Oba Femi sent Williams crashing to the floor during their first confrontation.

At Rebellion, Joe Hendry put his TNA World Title on the line against Frankie Kazarian and NXT’s Ethan Page in a three-way match. Hendry pinned Page to retain his title, but Trick Williams was out for revenge.

Williams laid out Hendry with his Trick Shot before taking a long, hard look at the TNA World Championship before dropping it on Hendry.

This all led to a TNA World Championship match being made between Joe Hendry and Trick Williams at Battleground on May 25.

Before that, however, a pair of concerts were announced for the May 20 edition of NXT.

Joe Hendry Reminds Trick Williams Of His Past

First up was Trick Williams, who offered a rap where he referred to the TNA World Champion as an “average Joe.” The performance at least has Booker T in raptures.

Later in the night, Joe Hendry offered his own concert where he focused on Williams’ history as Carmelo Hayes’ sidekick. Hendry included some embarrassing footage of Hayes and Williams running for their lives in a haunted house.

After repeatedly being called “Melo’s b*tch,” Trick Williams confronted Hendry but was laid out by a guitar shot to the head and a Standing Ovation as the TNA World Champion stood tall to end the night.
