Joe Hendry Reveals How Long Is Left On TNA Deal Amid WWE Presence
Joe Hendry has revealed how long he has left on his TNA contract and his huge goal in WWE.
Joe Hendry has exploded in popularity in recent months. The TNA star has become a major part of the company’s new partnership with WWE, making multiple appearances in NXT, where he has been a huge hit with fans.
Although there has been speculation that WWE will snap the star up when it can, he has recently revealed he will be with TNA for some time yet. When asked about his status during an appearance on Talk is Jericho, Hendry said he’s got “a while” on his contract.
“We’ve got a while. But because of the working relationship, I really feel like anything is possible.”
With that said, Hendry still has a huge goal in mind for his time in WWE, a match with John Cena.
“I really, with my whole heart, 100 percent believe that’s going to happen. And I don’t just think it’s like the universe is going to give it to me. It’s my job to make that the most compelling story possible for John Cena.”
Hendry doesn’t have much time to make the bout happen, as John Cena has announced that 2025 will be his final year as an active wrestler.
Joe Hendry Forced TNA To Change Slammiversary Plans
Joe Hendry’s increasing popularity disrupted TNA’s plans for Slammiversary. The show will now see Hendry competing for the company’s World Championship in a Six-Man Elimination match. However, he has revealed that those weren’t the original plans for the sold-out show.
