Joe Hendry Issues Warning To Two WWE Legends

Joe Hendry

Joe Hendry has shared his desire for future bouts with Roman Reigns and John Cena

The popular Scottish star defeated Nic Nemeth to lift the TNA World Championship at Genesis on 19th January before capping a fine start to 2025 by making his Royal Rumble debut in Indianapolis on 2nd February.

The Edinburgh-born former ICW Tag Team Champion received a thunderous reception from the 70,373 in attendance as he entered the match in the number 15 slot, lasting 3 minutes and 35 seconds before being despatched over the top rope by Roman Reigns.

The 36 year-old star reflected on his Rumble showing during an interview with WWE’s Cathy Kelley after the show and noted his desire to cross paths again with Reigns again in the near future:

“It’s unusual for Joe Hendry to be at a loss for words, but say his name, and he appeared here in Indianapolis at the biggest Royal Rumble of all time. Roman Reigns, congrats. You threw Joe Hendry over the top, and I’m willing to bet this isn’t the last time that you and I cross paths.

Joe Hendry Wants John Cena Bout

Joe Hendry would go on to reveal some words of inspiration shared with him by John Cena before seemingly calling out the 16-time WWE Champion.

Cena appeared at Money In The Bank on 6th July to announce that 2025 would mark his final year as an in-ring competitor and with little time to waste, Joe Hendry has set his sights on a bout with the legendary Superstar:

“But before I go, I do want to share a little bit of knowledge that was bestowed on me by one John Cena. He gave me four words, and it was, ‘Fortune favors the bold.’ So here I am, boldly saying John Cena’s name”.
