Joe Hendry Attacked By WWE Star At Rebellion
Joe Hendry was back to his day job as he put his TNA World Title on the line at Rebellion, but he found himself laid out by a WWE star.
On the April 22 edition of NXT, Trick Williams confronted NXT Champion Oba Femi following Femi retaining his title against Williams and Je’Von Evans and Stand & Deliver. However, Hendry quickly appeared on the scene, telling Williams he wasn’t the same man he teamed with last year.
After a back-and-forth about Hendry’s WrestleMania exploits, Hendry told Oba Femi that after TNA’s next pay-per-view, Rebellion, he was coming after Femi’s gold. This made Williams irate, with Hendry and Oba Femi both sending him out of the ring to end the segment.
Joe Hendry Suffers At The Hands Of Trick Williams
At Rebellion, Joe Hendry put his TNA World Title on the line against Frankie Kazarian and NXT’s Ethan Page in a three-way match. Hendry pinned Page to retain his title, but Trick Williams was out for revenge.
Williams laid out Hendry with his Trick Shot before taking a long, hard look at the TNA World Championship before dropping it on Hendry.
After the show, Shawn Michaels took to social media to offer Joe Hendry an open invitation back to NXT to settle his issue with Trick Williams.
Trick Williams crossed the line NXT is everywhere – RAW, SmackDown and tonight at TNA Rebellion.@JoeHendry you have an open invitation this Tuesday to come to @WWENXT, and settle this issue with Trick.

All of this comes after Joe Hendry made his shock WrestleMania debut to answer Randy Orton’s open challenge. Orton defeated Hendry in three minutes and dropped him with a second RKO after the bout.
