Jimmy Hart Names One Thing He Has In Common With CM Punk

CM Punk

Jimmy Hart has reflected on a conversation with CM Punk.

After finding brief success in the music business, with a million-selling single no less, Jimmy Hart found his way into the wild world of pro wrestling in 1978.

He went on to pass through the CWA, WWF, WCW, TNA, and several independent promotions while working with many of the biggest names in history, perhaps most famously, Hulk Hogan.

During a new interview with Justin Barrasso, Hart was asked about celebrating his 81st birthday back in January, and he credited his longevity to not drinking or smoking — something he said he pointed out to CM Punk.

Hart added that he’s blessed to still be involved with wrestling, noting that he’s never forgotten that it’s the fans who have enabled him to live such a charmed life.

“I don’t drink, I don’t smoke, so maybe that’s the key for me. I told CM Punk–we’re alike in that regard. I’m blessed. Everything is beautiful. I’m so grateful to still be doing something with the company whenever they call me. And the reason all this is possible is because of the wrestling fans–I never, ever forget that.”

CM Punk Looking To Life Outside WWE

While Hart is delighted to still be involved in the wrestling business into his 80s, CM Punk is beginning to look to life outside of the ring.

In a new interview, Punk revealed that it’s worked into his WWE contract that he can change his schedule if required to take on movie roles. He added that he’s got two projects on the way very soon, and he’d love to do a rom-com, maybe even with WWE legend Dave Bautista.

CM Punk hasn’t wrestled since losing to Seth Rollins in a Triple Threat Match also involving Roman Reigns on night one of WrestleMania 41.
