Jimmy Hart Confirms Long-Standing Shawn Michaels Rumour
Jimmy Hart gave Shawn Michaels a helping hand.
It’s no secret that Jimmy Hart played a major role in creating the theme music for several WWE stars, including being very hands-on during the making of “Sexy Boy” for Shawn Michaels.
In a new video uploaded to WWE’s The Vault YouTube channel, Hart confirmed that he sang the female parts on the song, which were layered up to make him sound more feminine. He noted that the original version of the song was sung by Sensational Sherri, who worked with HBK during 1992 and 1993.
“Shawn loved the song. Shawn sang the song. We did two versions of it. One originally with Sherri singing it. But when she took a hiatus from the company for a while, Shawn would sing it.
Now, we didn’t have our girl singers, so I’m the one singing back up going, sexy boy. But we doubled it five times, so it made it sound like three or four girls going, sexy boy. But Shawn Michaels is number one with sexy boy.”
Shawn Michaels Inspired Top WWE Star To Launch Wrestling Career
Meanwhile, Seth Rollins has credited Shawn Michaels with inspiring him to become a professional wrestler. Rollins explained that he was initially drawn into the wild world of wrestling by Hulk Hogan, but it wasn’t until he watched the likes of Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart that he believed it was something he could do.
Rollins recalled reasoning that while he’d never be as physically huge as Andre The Giant, Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, or The Ultimate Warrior, he could look like Hart or Michaels. He went on to call Michaels “the guy.”
