Jim Ross Gives Worrying Health Update
Jim Ross has provided a concerning update on his ongoing health issues.
Jim Ross is currently taking a break from his AEW announcing duties as he continues to recover from skin cancer. Although he recently announced he is officially cancer-free, JR is still undergoing treatment for the issue.
On the latest episode of Grilling JR, the WWE Hall of Famer has given some insight into another health problem, saying that he has a dangerously high blood sugar level.
“My blood sugar’s gone crazy and I’m trying to get it under control. It’s not under control right now. My blood sugar is around 400, and that’s dangerous. That’s diabetic seizure time.”
Ross is regularly seeing specialists for his health issues and noted that he has started to get insulin injections to help bring his blood sugar back under control.
“Giving yourself a shot every night is unique, different.”
The star admitted he didn’t think taking regular insulin shots was the way his life would go, but is grateful the medicine exists and could well save his life.
When Will Jim Ross Return To AEW?
Jim Ross recently addressed a possible return to work in AEW, saying that after speaking to doctors he was likely still a “few more weeks” away from getting back on the headset. However, this was prior to his disclosure of blood sugar issues, which may affect his timeframe.
The WWE Hall of Famer has previously revealed that he is in the final months of his contract with the company, although says Tony Khan may extend his stay.
