Jim Ross Tips Veteran To Win AEW World Championship
Jim Ross thinks one AEW star will have one more run at the top.
At Worlds End, Jon Moxley will put the AEW World Championship on the line against Orange Cassidy, Hangman Adam Page, and Jay White. However, there’s another threat lying in wait.
At All In, Christian Cage won the Casino Gauntlet Match to earn a shot at the World Title at a time of his choosing, and he’s made no secret of the fact he’s always ready to strike.
During a recent episode of his Grilling JR podcast, Jim Ross was asked whether he felt Cage would ever win the AEW World Championship. The commentator said that he did, although he remained adamant he hadn’t got any inside information.
“Yeah, I do,” Ross said. “I’ve got nothing to go on, as I try to explain to folks who watch our show. I’m not on the inside anymore. I see the talent, I see Tony Khan at TV, the one TV a month that I go to. I got a great gig, and I’m appreciative of it, and I like my assignments.”
Jim Ross Explains Vince McMahon’s Dislike Of Christian Cage
Despite employing Christian on more than one occasion, it’s become an open secret that Vince McMahon didn’t think much of the star and regularly tried to embarrass him.
During the same episode, Jim Ross claimed Vince McMahon’s issues came down to Christian’s physique, something the announcer described as absurd.
Ross went on to confirm claims from a former WWE writer that McMahon wanted to put a blue dot over Christian’s face when he was on-screen.
