Jim Ross Speaks His Mind On Disturbing AEW All Out Moment

Jim Ross in AEW

AEW announcer Jim Ross has given his honest assessment of the violent aspects of All Out after he seemed disgusted with what he saw on the show.

At All Out, Bryan Danielson defeated Jack Perry to retain the AEW World Championship that he won in Wembley Stadium from Swerve Strickland. While Wembley gave fans the chance to luxuriate in a feel-good moment, Chicago saw the exact opposite.

Bryan Danielson was viciously turned on by the Blackpool Combat Club after the match with Jon Moxley placing a plastic bag over his head as he tried to suffocate him.

The AEW commentators were rightfully appalled by what they were seeing with Jim Ross clearly not a fan of what he was seeing from Moxley. But just how much of that was real and how much was JR doing his job to the highest possible level?

Jim Ross Admits AEW Plastic Bag Spot Was Uncomfortable

Speaking on his Grilling JR podcast, Jim Ross admitted that he wasn’t a huge fan of the plastic bag spot but he understood why it happened and he was a big fan of All Out regardless:

I enjoyed the show overall, I’m not a big plastic bag aficionado. But I get it, I understand why they did it but it’s not my cup of tea. That’ll set up a Moxley/Bryan match sooner than later. Maybe it’s just the way it’s supposed to be but it seemed a little bit uncomfortable because that’s a dangerous thing and you don’t want kids trying it, somebody getting an idea ‘Hey I can do that.’

It just seems like this group of talent has the ability and the inclination to rise above on pay-per-views. I was told yesterday that I’m doing the Arthur Ashe event which will always be fun, it’s a unique setting so I’m looking forward to that, should be good, loaded card.

I didn’t hate it, I loved the work rate and there were some really good matches on that show that I truly enjoyed calling.
