Jim Ross Provides Positive Health Update
Jim Ross has shared some good news about his health.
In October 2021, Good Ol’ JR revealed that he had been diagnosed with skin cancer. Whilst by December he was cancer-free and returning to the commentary desk in AEW, the recovery and treatment have continued since then.
While keeping fans up to date on the latest developments with his health, the AEW announcer revealed that he’d received good news following an MRI on social media, noting that the cancer has not returned in his tibia.

Why did Jim Ross miss AEW TV?
On the morning of the 17th of June, Jim Ross suffered a bad fall in his home that left him with a severe black eye. He still managed to travel to Chicago for AEW Collision, but after the broadcast, announced that he would be stepping away from the commentary desk to take time to heal. He later revealed that he’d suffered a concussion and admitted that traveling that day wasn’t in his best interests.
Jim Ross took some time off from AEW television following the fall but returned to the announce desk on the 5th of August edition of Collision where he was joined by Ian Riccaboni and Nigel McGuinness. It remains to be seen what role the WWE Hall of Famer will have at the announce desk at All In in Wembley Stadium.
