Jim Ross On Recently Departed AEW Star: “Somebody Will Pick Him Up”

Jim Ross

Jim Ross is predicting big things for one former AEW star.

On October 23rd, Brock Anderson confirmed he’d left AEW. The second-generation star signed with the company in 2021 and formed part of the Nightmare Family after training with QT Marshall.

However, in recent months he found television time hard to come by, wrestling his final match for the company on the August 12th episode of Collision. On the show, he was defeated by Luchasaurus in a little over five minutes.

Speaking on Grilling JR, AEW announcer Jim Ross said Anderson has got too much potential to be out of work for long.

“I don’t either. He’s got a lot of potential, good upside. Good kid. He’s been under his dad’s learning tree, which is always good because his dad is a great teacher, great coach, great motivator. So Brock will be fine. Somebody will pick him up. He’s got a lot of ability, lot of potential, so we wish him nothing but the best.

I’m dear friends with his father, so I’m pulling for Brock and his dad. So we’ll see how it works out. It should be an interesting time probably for that family,”

Jim Ross Tips Jade Cargill To Get Better And Better In WWE

Aside from CM Punk’s firing, the biggest departure from AEW in 2023 has been that of Jade Cargill. The former TBS Champion allowed her contract with the promotion to expire before signing with WWE in September.

Although Cargill is yet to wrestle in WWE, she’s been featuring across Raw, SmackDown, and NXT with increasing regularity.

Speaking on an earlier episode of his podcast, Ross heaped praise on Cargill but suggested she could improve further after working at the WWE Performance Center.
