Jim Ross has given an update on his health following a recent fall that led to some issues that need to be checked out.

For the past 50 years, Jim Ross has been involved in pro wrestling. Even though JR spent the majority of his career in pro wrestling as a play-by-play announcer, he was recently tabbed to be in an analyst role with play-by-play announcer Kevin Kelly and analyst Nigel McGuinness on AEW Collison.

To date, Jim Ross has only appeared on one episode of Collision even though they have had four episodes so far. The reason for that is because JR suffered a nasty fall at home last month and apparently got a concussion along with a black eye.

On the first episode of Collision on June 17th, which happened after suffered his fall, JR joined commentary for the main event and did not sound well. Some rude fans were mocking the legendary announcer on Twitter, which is very insulting to a man that has dedicated his life to entertaining pro wrestling fans.

During the latest edition of his Grilling JR podcast, Jim Ross spoke about what he’s been dealing with health-wise.

“Had a rough week on my leg. I’m not changing, I’m just adding to doctors. It’s amazing. I went to my one doctor, he said I gotta get you to a specialist that could give you an antibiotic shot. I said, ‘Why can’t you do it?’ ‘That’s not what I do.’ I said you guy’s got a f**king thiefdom. You recommend me to this guy, why can’t you do that? ‘I don’t do that.’ ‘Oh, okay.’”

“It’s been a challenging week, let’s say. I think we’ve made some improvement. We’ve got a good game plan, but I just needed a break. I needed a break in the action, so to speak, and move on. So, it’ll happen. I’ve got good doctors, good care, and if I don’t get the results that we’re looking for, I’ll go to the Mayo Clinic and start over.”

Jim Ross has worked for AEW since day one in 2019. He was originally part of the company’s main commentary team for Dynamite, but over the last year they replaced him with Taz, who teams with Excalibur and Tony Schiavone on Dynamite broadcasts.
