Jim Ross Suggests Alternative WrestleMania Match For The Rock

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has discussed an idea for The Rock at WrestleMania that would be an alternative to The Great One facing Roman Reigns.

For months now, many people have been hoping to see a main event showdown at WrestleMania 39 between Roman Reigns and his cousin, The Rock, in what would be one of the biggest matches to take place on The Grandest Stage Of Them All.

With WrestleMania “going Hollywood” in Los Angeles next year, it could be the perfect time for The Rock to take his final bow in a WWE ring.

However, speaking on his Grilling JR podcast, WWE Hall of Famer and now AEW announcer Jim Ross has another idea in mind for The People’s Champion at WrestleMania that would still be a family affair.

“Here’s the thing, I could see Rock having a mixed tag with his daughter at WrestleMania, I can see that. Now, there will be naysayers that will knock that idea, which is fine, that’s expected.

“But that’s a safe [option], it’s a way to get him on TV, get his name and her name and image in the promotion.”

The Rock’s daughter Simone has been training in WWE since 2020 and recently began appearing at NXT 2.0 live events under the ring name of Ava Raine.
