Jim Ross Believes AEW Will Run House Shows In 2023
Jim Ross has addressed the possibility of AEW beginning to run live events in 2023.
While WWE has regular House Show – non- televised live events – tours throughout the year in multiple countries, AEW is yet to run similar tours, instead sticking to TV shows and pay-per-view events. However, this could be set to change/
In November, AEW hired Jeff Jarrett and he made his debut by attacking Darby Allin with his patented guitar. However, the star is also playing a role backstage as the company’s Director Of Business Development.
Shortly after Jarrett’s signing, Dave Meltzer noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that he would be helping the company when it comes to both international business and live events.
Now, on the latest edition of Grilling JR, Jim Ross has stated he is of the belief AEW will indeed get into the live event business in 2023, saying it’s an opportunity AEW can capitalize on.
“I believe in 2023 that AEW will be in the house show, live event business to some degree. I just think that it’s an opportunity that can be capitalized upon if AEW is strategic in their planning. I think that’s what Jeff Jarrett’s working on.”
