Jim Ross Addresses Possible AEW Return

Jim Ross

Jim Ross has given the latest update on his condition as he continues to recuperate away from AEW.

Jim Ross has been one of the key voices in AEW for the entire duration the company has existed. As time has worn on, Ross’ time at the announce table has lessened but he has settled into a role where he gave his experience and gravitas to the main event of Collision each and every Saturday.

However, Jim Ross recently revealed he was taking time away from AEW as he continues to heal following health issues including a battle with skin cancer.

Speaking on his Grilling JR podcast with co-host Conrad Thompson, Jim Ross gave the latest insight into his condition and says he’ll still be missing for a while yet:

I’m pretty good, Conrad. Had a busy week at the doctor’s, and trying to get all these little things taken care of. They’re not little things if you let them go. So anyway, I’m getting better, I think.

Still gonna be off work for a few more weeks, and then we’ll just move on, and hopefully, it’ll work out. I had a long doctor’s meeting yesterday, over two hours. You know how it goes. Getting old is the sh*ts.

Jim Ross Could Be Winding Down His AEW Career

The WWE Hall of Famer has also confirmed that he is in the final months of his AEW contract but says Tony Khan has pointed towards extending his stay in the company.

Fans will hope Jim Ross is back at the announce desk as soon as possible and while he’ll miss Full Gear, he could be back in the hot seat come Worlds End on December 30.
