Jim Cornette Describes Top Dolla As Being Like “A Beached Whale” In The Ring
Jim Cornette hasn’t held back with his opinion on Top Dolla, criticising him as looking like “a fat 30s mechanic”.
Many were surprised when Hit Row were released by WWE in August 2021, having only been brought up to the main roster a few weeks before. The majority of the group are now back with the company, however Jim Cornette hasn’t been impressed and had a particular point to make after their most recent appearance.
On the 7th October 2022 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, the group was attacked by Legado Del Fantasma, now accompanied by the returning Zelina Vega. In a discussion on his Jim Cornette Experience podcast, the famous wrestling manager and booker has called the segment sloppy, and singled out Top Dolla for criticism.
Top Dolla looks like a late 30s fat mechanic that dresses around like a hip hop guy and wallers around in the ring like a beached whale. Apparently, Triple H liked him as a group and brought him back and has tried to push him. And this beatdown was sloppy as sh*t to begin with.
Jim Cornette also pointed out that in his opinion the group is missing one key element. Since the group was released, Swerve Strickland has joined the ranks of AEW, even having a run as Tag Team Champion alongside Keith Lee. To Cornette, Strickland would be the missing piece of the puzzle and the one Triple H would bring back if it were possible.
Yes, ’cause out of the whole bunch, he’s [Swerve] the one I’d pick.
