Jey Uso’s Next WWE Move May Be Driven By Personal Reasons

Jey Uso may be out of the World Heavyweight Championship hunt.

Jey Uso is no longer the World Heavyweight Champion. He faded to Gunther’s Sleeper Hold on WWE RAW, kickstarting The Ring General’s second reign as World Champion. Two former WWE employees now think that Uso may move away from the title picture because of personal reasons.

On The Coach And Bro Show, Jonathan Coachman and Tommy Carlucci discussed Jey Uso’s championship loss on WWE RAW. Carlucci thinks that Uso will move on from the title hunt and align with Jimmy Uso to go after The New Day and the World Tag Team Titles. Coachman agreed with Carlucci’s line of thought, saying that Jey would choose teaming up with his brother instead of going after singles glory.

“He loves his brother, and I think it would be hard for him to turn that down because his brother is kinda been left out. Then you got Naomi, who is with Jimmy, she just gets Money In The Bank. So Jey and Naomi are flying high right now, and Jimmy is just kinda out there. So if it were my brother and I had been with him for 15 years in the WWE, it would be really hard for me to say ‘no, bro’.”[53:22 – 53:54]

Reason For Jey Uso’s Title Loss

Jey Uso lost his World Heavyweight Championship in 51 days. The shocking loss has many fans questioning the decision. On the same show, Tommy Carlucci gave his thoughts on why WWE may see Gunther as the better option.

According to Tommy Carlucci, Jey Uso did little to elevate the World Heavyweight Championship. He pointed out that when Cody Rhodes won the WWE Title, he elevated it along with himself. He also added that Jey’s promos didn’t quite land, and to counter that, WWE lengthened his entrance.
