Rikishi Addresses Jey Uso’s WWE Career, If Jey Should Leave
Jey Uso is one of WWE’s most popular wrestlers, but his father Rikishi has made it clear he wants to see his son utilized better.
Rikishi is a WWE Hall of Famer who is the proud father of three WWE superstars: Twin brothers Jimmy & Jey Uso and Solo Sikoa. While The Usos are considered by many people to be the greatest tag team in WWE history, Solo is going to challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Title in a Steel Cage Match on the September 13th episode of Smackdown.
Jey Uso picked up a huge win in the main event of the September 9th edition of WWE Raw when he beat Pete Dunne, Ilja Dragunov & Braun Strowman. The reward for Jey is a shot at the Intercontinental Title held by Bron Breakker.
Recently, Rikshi expressed his disappointment with how the WWE creative team was using Jey Uso.
“I have hair on the back of my neck (standing up) every time I watch him. SummerSlam, where is he? ‘I don’t know, let’s write him in, he likes Mami.’ That’s the best the writer’s got? ‘Let’s write him into a relationship with Mami’, what y’all trying to do, break his marriage up?
You can’t put him into a good storyline so what you gonna do now? God forbid you guys try to tell them to tongue kiss each other on WWE Raw. S**t that better not happen.”
In other comments, Rikishi also suggested that Jey Uso could go to AEW if things don’t get better.
Rikishi Says WWE Is Home For Jey Uso And The Samoan Dynasty
While speaking on his Off The Top podcast, Rikishi made it clear that WWE is the home of the Samoan Dynasty, which is what Rikishi and others call the famous Anoi’a family that Rikishi and many others are a part of. Rikishi spoke about the criticism he dealt with after his previous comments.
“I can’t even call it. When was the last time you’ve ever seen anything like that? I’m a fan now. I don’t even want to say anything no more because every time I say something, I make news, and then people twist my words, like I’m against WWE. I’m not against WWE. Why would I be against WWE?”
As he continued, RIkishi made it clear that WWE is Jey Uso’s home and that goes for the rest of the Samoan Dynasty as well.
“If you’re gonna talk about what I said, please make sure you put down exact, don’t twist my words around. I’m gonna say it again, WWE is The Dynasty’s home, period. We are not going nowhere, we don’t plan to go nowhere. The past, present, and future. Give me a YEET on that.”
As for Jey Uso’s brother Jimmy, he’s been away from Smackdown for several months due to The Bloodline. With WarGames looming in late November at Survivor Series, the Roman Reigns-led edition of The Bloodline could be set for a reunion.
