Jey Uso Unbothered By Negative Opinions Of His WWE Royal Rumble Win

Jey Uso

The haters don’t seem to bother Jey Uso, the winner of the 2025 WWE Men’s Royal Rumble.

Jey Uso made history at the WWE Royal Rumble in Indianapolis because he was the first man to win from the #20 spot in the match.

It was a star-studded field in the Men’s Royal Rumble match with former WWE Champions in there like John Cena, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, CM Punk, Drew McIntyre, Rey Mysterio, and many other big names. There were points in the match where guys weren’t fighting and the fans were going crazy just seeing all those big names in the match.

The match came down to Jey and Cena as the final two men. Cena went for an Attitude Adjustment while both guys were on the apron, but Jey went back into the ring and pushed Cena from the apron to the floor. Cena was one of the biggest favorites to win the match along with Punk, so having Jey win was a surprise.

At the Rumble itself, the reaction was positive with the fans in Indy cheering the “Yeet” man Jey, who has become one of the most popular superstars in WWE thanks to his “Yeet” phrase and an entrance that the fans love featuring the up-down arm swinging motions.

“I Never Thought I Would Be At This Level” – Jey Uso

During the majority of his 15-year WWE career, Jey Uso has been part of The Usos tag team with his twin brother Jimmy. Over the last few years, Jey has been wrestling in singles more, he’s held the Intercontinental Championship and now he’s a Royal Rumble

In an interview with WWE’s Pat McAfee on the Pat McAfee Show, Jey was asked about fans who had negative reactions to his Rumble win and may have wanted somebody else like Punk or Cena to win the match.

“That’s them, Uce. That’s them. That’s your opinion. You don’t strap my boots every week. You’re not on the road every week. All the bumps, handshakes, the side stepping no one sees. Early flights and rental cars. We’re not traveling with security guards. I’m in the trenches like everybody else.

I don’t pay no mind to that. I don’t need any of that. I’m just going to focus (forward), tunnel vision. Either hop on the train or get off the train. There are a lot of haters out there, Uce. They talk it because they can’t walk it. I’m excited. I’m all positive. I never thought I would be at this level. Now I’m here and I got places to go. Yeet.”

By winning the Men’s Royal Rumble match, Jey has earned the right to challenge for the WWE Championship held by Cody Rhodes or the World Heavyweight Championship held by Gunther at WrestleMania 41. Even though he lost to Gunther recently, Jey Uso has teased that he wants to go after Gunther one more time at WrestleMania 41 although it’s not official yet.
