Jey Uso Says Rivalry With Jimmy Uso Will Be Different
Jey Uso is excited about his rivalry with Jimmy Uso while promising that it will “feel real” like everything else involving The Bloodline.
At WrestleMania 39 in Los Angeles, Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso walked into Night 1 on Saturday as the longest-reigning WWE Tag Team Champions of all time. They would go on to have one of the best matches of their careers as they lost the Tag Team Titles to Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn.
In the months that followed, The Usos remained a cohesive unit after turning on The Bloodline’s Roman Reigns (their cousin). They even beat Roman and their own younger brother Solo Sikoa in a big tag team match at Money in the Bank.
When Jey Uso received a shot at Roman’s Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, he nearly had the match won until his jealous brother Jimmy pulled Jey out of the ring and cost him the match.
While the rivalry cooled to end 2023, it picked up again in 2024. To start the 2024 Royal Rumble, The Usos were the first two men in the match. When Jey got an Intercontinental Title match against Gunther on Raw, Jimmy was the reason why Jey failed to win. Also, Jimmy cost Jey his match with Drew McIntyre on the March 4th Raw as well.
It’s not official yet, but the expectation is that the twin brothers Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso will have a huge singles match at WrestleMania 40 on April 6th or April 7th.
Jey Uso Feels Rivalry With Jimmy Uso Is “Going To Feel Real”
In an interview with Tim & Eli on Battleground, Jey Uso talked about how emotional the rivalry will be while citing the past Bloodline story with Reigns and Sami Zayn as well. This one would be between blood brothers who are twins and who were one of the best WWE tag teams ever for over a decade.
“Personally, I’m a little kid all over again. Hopefully it’s me and Jimmy at WrestleMania. If it is, I’m a little kid. It’s going to be so easy. We’re just going to do what we do all the time. What I’m most excited about is the lead up, the promos. I love talking. I’m trying to talk.”
“You thought you had emotion in the Bloodline storyline with me and Roman, and me and Sami, watch me and my twin go at it. Ya’ll are going to be like, ‘They are 100% real.’ That’s what is going to make it fire. It’s going to be real. I’m excited to pump that out to the fans and give them that. It’ll be different from every other angle.”
