Jey Uso Makes Claims Ownership Of WWE Fireflies

Jey Uso entrance at WWE Backlash

Jey Uso is beloved by WWE fans.

For years Bray Wyatt was sung to the ring by his fireflies, creating a unique atmosphere whenever he entered the arena. The lights dimmed and fans held up the torches on their phones to give Wyatt’s entrance an almost mythical touch, something akin to The Undertaker’s own entrance in years gone by.

While “the fireflies” have always been uniquely associated with Wyatt, another star has now laid their claim.

At Backlash France, Jey Uso arrived to the ring to a monster reception, with fans lighting the way.

In a post on social media, Uso said the fireflies now belong to him.

Yall ain’t got no damn choice.
Fireflies are mines now.

WWE Making Changes Due To Jey Uso Reaction

The comments from Jey Uso come after it was reported WWE is pushing to make the crowd reactions seen at Backlash as the norm.

According to Fightful Select, the crowd reactions to Jey Uso have been incredibly well-received within WWE, and the production team will be pushing fans to follow the lead of those in Lyon going forward. This will include dipping the lights during Uso’s entrance and highlighting any time his music is used in mainstream sports and media.

The former Bloodline star is currently competing in the King of the Ring tournament after being added as a late replacement for the injured Drew McIntyre. In the first round, Uso saw off Finn Balor, booking himself a quarter-final match with Ilja Dragunov.
