Jey Uso is reflecting on what it felt like to headline WrestleMania 39 with his brother Jimmy.

It has been a huge year for Jey Uso. This year alone he went from being a member of The Bloodline to the main event of WrestleMania 39, pinning Roman Reigns at Money in the Bank, wrestling Reigns in the main event of SummerSlam, and main event of Survivor Series in a WarGames match for the second year in a row.

While Jey Uso was known as a tag team wrestler for most of his 15-year career, he’s thriving as one of the biggest singles wrestlers on the Raw brand.

At WrestleMania 39, Jey Uso and his twin brother Jimmy defended the Tag Team Titles against Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens in an outstanding match that was regarded as one of the best WWE matches of 2023.

The Usos lost to Sami & Kevin at WrestleMania 39, but The Usos deserve a lot of credit for their record-breaking 622-day reign as WWE Tag Team Champions. That record-breaking title reign is what led to them being in the main event of WrestleMania Saturday.

In an interview with Alex McCarthy of the Daily Mail, Jey Uso spoke about what that WrestleMania 39 match meant to him and his brother.

“It was great man, the first time being a tag team main event at Wrestlemania, I felt like me and my brother did have a big part to deal with that.”

Jey Uso Believes Tag Team Wrestling Is The Best Type Of Wrestling

As Jey continued, he spoke about his love for tag team wrestling.

“We made tag team titles prestigous again, let alone just being in here with another team that can hold their own.”

“I was just excited to go out there and put on a regular tag team match, no toys, just regular tag team wrestling is the best type of wrestling when it’s done right.”

“Hopefully I’d like to run it back with those two [Owens and Zayn] again man.”

On the December 4th edition of WWE Raw, Jey Uso challenged Seth “Freakin” Rollins for the World Heavyweight Title. They had a classic match that saw Rollins retain, but Jey came close to winning many times.
