Jey Uso Recalls Giving Solo Sikoa Important Advice Before WWE Career
Jey Uso is proud of his brother Solo Sikoa’s success in WWE while recalling a time when The Usos advised their younger sibling.
The Usos have had incredible careers in WWE for the past 15 years. While Jey Uso and his brother Jimmy Uso are not a tag team right now, the twin brothers will likely be remembered as one of the greatest tag teams in the history of the business.
Perhaps the greatest accomplishment in The Usos career as a WWE tag team is when they held the Tag Team Championships for a record 622 days going into WrestleMania 39 in Los Angeles in 2023. While The Usos lost the Tag Team Titles to Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens on that night, it was also the first time the Tag Team Titles headlined a WrestleMania, which is a testament to how great The Usos were as a tag team.
Over the past two years, The Usos younger brother Solo Sikoa has gone from a “rookie” on the main roster to a main event talent as the leader of a new version of The Bloodline with Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa.
The Usos and Solo Sikoa are the sons of WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi. The Usos are 38 years old (39 on August 22) while Solo Sikoa is 31 years old with just two years of experience on the WWE main roster.
Jey Uso Is Proud of Solo Sikoa’s WWE Success
In an interview with The Ringer, Jey Uso recalled the time when he and his brother Jimmy advised Solo to finish college before embarking on a career in pro wrestling.
“From a real perspective, I’m so happy for him, man. It brings joy to see him out there on SmackDown because I know this story and what it took for him to get there. He did put in work.”
“Solo has a degree in college, he’s the smartest one out of all of us. He just wanted to wrestle. The rule was, me and my brother told him, we’ll get you in but you need to finish school first. Finish school and he’s like, I want to go. I want to Orlando, I want to go to NXT.”
“To see him now in the position today man, he’s killing it. I tell him, you’re shining right now Uce. Man, keep it up. Doesn’t it bring a boss look to it? It’s tribal chief but it’s his own way, his own style.”
While reflecting on the success of The Bloodline recently, Jey Uso spoke about how the group has elevated pro wrestling during their four-year run together.
