When Jey Uso Will Defend WWE World Title Against Logan Paul

Jey Uso Yeet glasses WWE

Jey Uso isn’t defending the WWE World Title at Backlash, but he is expected to have a televised title defense soon.

The WWE World Title was on the line at WrestleMania 41 as Jey Uso beat Gunther to become the champion in the biggest match of Jey’s life.

In his first World Title defense since WrestleMania, Jey Uso defended the World Title against Seth Rollins on WWE Monday Night Raw in Omaha in a match that was announced earlier that night.

That match between Jey and Seth ended in DQ when CM Punk attacked Rollins with a steel chair. After the show, Jey greeted fans at ringside when Logan Paul appeared in the crowd and punched him in the face to knock him down.

Since Logan Paul beat AJ Styles at WrestleMania 41, Paul had confronted Jey about wanting a shot at the World Heavyweight Title.

While a matchup between Jey and Logan seems inevitable, it’s not on the card for WWE Backlash on Saturday, May 10th in St. Louis.

Jey Uso Expected To Face Logan Paul On WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event

WWE has not officially announced it, but Dave Meltzer reports in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the Jey Uso-Logan Paul match will likely be on the next WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event special on NBC.

The Jey Uso title match with Logan Paul is right now scheduled tom be taking place on the Saturday Night’s Main Event show, which has 9,224 tickets out in Tampa and has an $83 get in price. The television set up for the building is 9,762 so it’s a lock to sell out.

The advertising of the show is based around Cena, so one would think he’d wrestle, but having both Cena and Uso defend the titles seems like a lot for a television show. Especially when you don’t even do that for the PLE shows.

That Saturday Night’s Main Event episode will air on May 24th at the Yeungling Center in Tampa, Florida.
