Jesse Ventura Linked With Shock Return To WWE TV
It’s been claimed that Jesse Ventura could return to WWE television.
On September 5th it was reported that WWE is planning a new TV special on NBC in December. Although there’s been no comment from the company, it’s believed that this special will be the first in a series of new Saturday Night’s Main Event shows.
Saturday Night’s Main Event launched in 1985 before being retired in 1993. It was brought back in 2006, but amid falling ratings and interest, it was shelved for a second time in 2008.
Jesse Ventura was a central figure on the show during its initial run during the 1980s and it seems he could be about to make a surprise return.
Will Jesse Ventura Feature On New WWE Special?
During an episode of the Straight Talk with The Boss w/ Magnum TA and Greg Gagne podcast, Gagne claimed that Ventura will be part of WWE’s new Saturday night specials.
“I mean, with what they’re paying those guys to come in, I think Jesse’s going to do the — they’re doing some NBC Saturday night shows, about four of them, they’re gonna use Jesse for that.”
However, it seems there isn’t any love lost between Gagne and Ventura as the veteran quickly said he was done talking about the former governor of Minnesota. Gagne claimed Ventura wanted to be Donald Trump’s Vice President, before closing by saying “Next time I see him, I might knock him on his ass.”
Despite the comments from Gagne, Jesse Ventura said in a recent interview that he almost quit the WWE Hall of Fame on three occasions because of Donald Trump.
After visiting Raw back in July, Ventura confirmed he was on the brink of signing a Legends deal with the company.
