WWE Hall Of Famer Jerry Lawler Gives Health Update After Stroke
Jerry Lawler has given the latest update on his health after suffering another stroke.
According to a recent report from TMZ Sports, Jerry Lawler suffered a stroke on September 5th at one of his homes in Florida. The WWE Hall of Famer has been taken back to his primary home by his daughter, where he’ll now spend a few weeks recovering.
As noted in the report, Lawler has already started on the road to recovery and will be “getting back to normal” in the coming weeks.
It had previously been confirmed that Lawler would miss a planned appearance at a convention in Cincinnati, Ohio, over the weekend due to a “personal matter.”
Jerry Lawler Struggled To Recognise Family
Speaking to Fox 13, Jerry Lawler gave an update on his health and revealed that he couldn’t even recognise his own family after his latest stroke:
I remember lying in the bed in the hospital and when people that I knew, like family members, came in – and I didn’t even recognise them. People kept coming out of nowhere to thank me and to pray for me. All of that means such a great, great deal to me and I want to thank them for all that.
Jerry “The King” Lawler previously admitted he was still dealing with the impact of a massive stroke in 2023. At the time, Lawler was also recovering after undergoing knee replacement surgery in June 2024.
That stroke was already the second suffered by the veteran after being struck down in 2018. Lawler noted in his most recent comments that he had not been taking his medication prior to his latest stroke and vowed to be more diligent about his health moving forward.
