Jelly Roll Set For Big Things At WWE SummerSlam
WWE is continuing its clamour for celebrity approval as rap star Jelly Roll is now set to be a part of SummerSlam.
Back in September, it was announced that Hip Hop megastar Cardi B would be the host of the first-ever two-night SummerSlam. The event is set to take place at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on August 2 and August 3.
The announcement came as WWE continues to embrace mainstream and celebrity culture, arguably like never before. This push to hit the mainstream saw Travis Scott not only stand in the ring as John Cena turned heel at Elimination Chamber but also make a (albeit very slow) run-in during the main event of WrestleMania 41.
Jelly Roll On The Road To SummerSlam
It’s been confirmed that Jelly Roll is scheduled to appear on the upcoming July 11 edition of SmackDown in Nashville, Tennessee. But it seems like that appearance might be the start of something much larger.
Dave Meltzer reported in his Daily Update that Jelly Roll is set to be part of SummerSlam, and it seems he’ll be doing a lot more than just singing as he did at the event in 2024.
At that event, he also got physical with Grayson Waller and Austin Theory and dropped Theory with a chokeslam.
