Jelly Roll To Make In-Ring Debut At Major WWE Event
Jelly Roll is preparing for action.
WWE SummerSlam is set to be another star-studded affair, with celebrities all over the show.
Back in September, it was announced that Hip Hop megastar Cardi B would be the host of the spectacular when it takes place across two nights for the first time in its long history. The event will be held at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on August 2 and August 3.
However, it seems that a different music star will be getting a lot more involved.
Jelly Roll Returning To WWE Television
It’s now been confirmed by Mike Johnson of PWInsider that Jelly Roll has been training for in-ring action, and he’ll make his wrestling debut at SummerSlam.
The star’s appearance on the July 11 edition of SmackDown will see him form an alliance with an unnamed “top babyface.” When Johnson asked whether this babyface is Cody Rhodes, he was told it isn’t.
Jelly Roll does have a history with WWE, having appeared at SummerSlam 2024, where he ended up hitting Austin Theory with a Chokeslam.
At SummerSlam, Rhodes is currently scheduled to challenge John Cena for the Undisputed WWE Championship after he won the King of the Ring tournament.
